I was a huge fan of the Old Skool Michael Jackson as a young kid before he started bangin yutez. I was doing the Moon walk & all that shyt, ya get me.The First ever rapper I ever heard & listened to back when I was only 10 years old back in 1993 was Snoop Doggy Dogg & his first album "Doggy Style". Im also down with Nate Dogg. When your taking a girl out on a date & your not feeling pimp enough & your like "wtf should i do" well your fuckin daddy would probably put on some Barry White, but ME, i put on some Nate Dogg.I have been lyrically infuenced by Detroit's Royce Da 5'9. I honestly thinks Royce is one of the greatest Lyricist of all time along with Brooklyn's own Necro & Tech N9ne is one of the best.Since 2000 i been collecting Three 6 Mafia albums because I love there crazy style, & the perfect Production, im just happy they have blown up now. Lil Wyte is dope too.Artists im also down with & respect: WOLFPAC, Cypress Hill, KMK, Kutty, Big Krizz Kaliko - STRANGE MUSIC! ODB, 2Pac, Biggy. Different styles of Rap, Hip Hop, R&B & Rock. UK's Ric-Lo-X is a Black Jamaican (St. Elizabeth Jamaican) with a touch of crazy white boy. He is 316% dedicated to his music & wont stop for no fucker. He is known for flippin' the scripped, (or what he calls, "flippin' his OWN scripped") copying NOBODY!
He spitz rhymez from within, rhymez from his mind or what he see's in his life. Ric-Lo spent allot of time in the U.S.A with Killa C CEO of Dirty Thug Recordz, experiencing a lot of mind blowing things, meeting & spending time with rappers that he always looked up to, in studios from Montana to The Chapman studio in Kansas City MO, the studio & state of the one & only Kansas City King - Tech N9NE.
Everything he was seeing & people he met pushed him more & more to go get his SHIT. This is a guy who once he started, he DIDNT STOP. His style is different from most, he is not even really TRYING to be different but he only believes in rhyming from within using wuteva his mind can create.
Everybody has a hidden, weird side, well he has a hard time hiding his strange side, he needs to be honest & he indeed IS honest... thats how it is & how it will stay. He is just on some other shit. What you see is what you get. Strictly "Attack Rap" & then some, nothing less.
He dubbed his music Attack Rap years ago. The Meaning of "Attack Rap" is basicly attack the Mic, attack, attack, treat the Mic like your worst enemy. One thing i DO say is... Do not EXPECT Shit from Ric-Lo-X because you will get it in all directions.
