There are some of us that choose to wear our diamonds on the inside....I consider myself just another mud-faced Dharma bum.....born and raised in Minnesota (on LPs and the music scene in Minneapolis/St. Paul). Growing up, my mother taught me about integrity and the difference between 'class' and wealth. In turn, my father implanted the belief that most of life's answers could be found somewhere on the Cat Stevens album, 'Tea for the Tillerman'. As for everything else, I learned through SERENDIPITY, exploration, philanthropy, reading, experimentation, and an ample supply of booze and blues. I believe in paying it forward, the spectrum of life, not to limit oneself or experiences, nor sit in judgement of others and theirs. I'm not certain how to tell 'about me' because I believe that we are in a constant state of change....it is through the people we surround ourselves with, and situations that we place ourselves in, that our individual character reveals itself in subtle and sometimes, NOT SO SUBTLE ways. I guess in order to tell about me, I'd have to pay closer attention; however, I think I'd rather just be in the moment.............

WHO I'D LIKE TO MEET:

Anyone I have yet to learn something from, those who need me the most, and the MAD ONES,.....'cuz the only people for me are the mad ones, the ones who are mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be saved, desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, but burn, burn, burn like fabulous roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle you see the blue centerlight pop and everybody goes "Awww!"(Kerouac).................



WHAT DO I DO:
I don't know why people tend to answer this in terms of what they do for work....although I feel my work has value, I do not feel it defines my life. Nevertheless, let's start there....for a living, I am first and foremost a Youth Counselor, I do crisis intervention with teenagers pulled from their homes and hope to start my own company that incorporates nature as part of the healing process. I am the patient care coordinator @ Aspen Valley hospital. I promote musicians/bands & help organize music/charity festivals here in the Rocky Mountains (not a bad gig if you can get it).
As for my spare time...LOL...I like volunteering, mountain search and rescue, travel, photography, reading, writing, hiking/camping, cloud watching, rock-climbing (especially by the light of the moon), spelunking in caves, roadtrips (music up, windows down, singing with wild abandon - more than likely off key), white-water rafting, climbing trees, softball, RUGBY, skiing, snow-boarding and whatever random adventures life puts in my way.
I'm not here "looking" for anything other than the possibility of meeting some DYNAMIC, SOULFUL people with a PASSION for living.... If I don't get back to you right away it's 'cuz I'm out experiencing reality not watching reality television...Peace, b

*I feel that what one reads is more important than what movies have captured ones attention. I have always had an insatiable desire to read....it would be nearly impossible to try and narrow my interest down to a few books. However, certain authors have most certainly had an influence on my journey....... Jack Kerouac, Dylan Thomas, Marcus Aurelius, Ralph Emerson, Dr. Seuss, Edward Abbey, William S. Burroughs, Hunter S. Thompson, Maya Angelou, Allen Ginsberg, Timothy Leary, Antoine-Marie-Roger de Saint Exupery, Krishnamurti, Osho, Sammuel Clemmens, Leonardo Da Vinci, Machiavelli, ThEdgar Allen Poe, Michelangelo, Emily Dickenson, Ernest Hemmingway, Alice Walker,etc, etc *truth be told, I am partial to the book 'Harold and the Purple Crayon'

Rarely do I actually play; however, I'll admit it....I like the E = everyone, adventure games....I kind of have this Peter Pan (never gonna grow up) syndrome going on...LOL...
