I had a nerve block done..Long story short...The Doc couldn't find the right nerve and the nurse wasn't watching the heart monitor (she was off flirting with the x-ray tech). My blood pressure bottomed out and they had to stop the surgery. Ends up the heart monitor was not even plugged in.
When it was finally plugged in my pressure was 50/20 and cardiology was called in. If the nurse had been doing her job she would have noticed the monitor was not working right. She has since lost her job because of this.
Now for the problem.....Today I get a bill for the botched surgery!
Should I (A) Contact my insurance company and tell them to fight the bill since the surgery was botched and the nurse was negligent?
Or (B) Should I just pay up my 20% and let the quacks get away with it? |
