| So a friend of mine works as a therapist for new parents--no surprise that he's always booked up solid. I was talking to him on the phone the other night, and I told him that I'd been thinking a lot about babies and finding somebody I'd want to have one with. He told me (and somehow I think I might have guessed this) that once a man hits around 35, his guy's version of a 'biological clock' will start ticking. Some psychologists call this the 'lineage imperative'--the need a male of a certain age to have an heir, an offspring. Anyway, my question is: Is a guy in his 30's who wants a baby at an advantage or a disadvantage when it comes to find someone to start a relationship with? |
