I am in the market to FINALLY buy my FIRST guitar! I have been taking lessons and "messing" around with it for quite a while but with only a Bass and 1 Electric to share between my roomie/best friend and her man (so doesn't work to well)!

So here's my question, should I buy a Acoustic Electric or a straight out Electric?

p.s. plus if you could help me out with a brand I'd appreciate it!
