We recieved a letter from my daughters school telling me that they want her to be in title 1 for reading this year. She did it 2 years ago and din't like having to leave her class to do so. She can read, but sometimes doesn't comprehend what she has read, such as she will read a sentence mispronounce a word and keep going even though it makes no sense.
She doesn't want to go this year because she doesn't want to be teased. It is ultimately my decision. I understand her feelings but at the same time i wonder by saying no if i might be doing a disservice to her for later in life. Help. She is 12 and starting Jr. High this year. By the way we aren't sure if it is the MEA testing that determined whether they want her to go or not and she came home sick on the first day of testing. She recieved honor roll 2 quarters last year and had a "B" in reading for the year. |
