HERE ARE FACTS GIVEN TO ME STATING THAT MEN ARE IN DEED THE BIGGEST GOSSIPERS THEN WOMEN:
Do women gossip more frequently than men?
That's the stereotype, but men actually gossip as much as women. Both men and women "people talk" about 60 percent of the time. But when you break "people talk" down into categories of high (juicy) and low (less juicy), women are more likely than men to engage in prototypical gossip, which meets the five criteria I explained earlier. In fact, a quarter of all of women's conversations are juicy gossip.
How do men gossip differently?
Men tend to use gossip strategically, as a career-enhancing tool, whereas women experience it more for social bonding. By discussing their coworkers' strengths and weaknesses, men figure out who got ahead and why; and learn whom to befriend and whom to avoid. As they learn the "right" way to act, they can align their own behavior with office norms, which could ultimately pay off with their bosses. Everyone can use gossip in this way to help advance in the workplace.
