So, my car took a major shit on me this past week. I took it to my mechanic for an estimate and he told me it's going to cost me about 1000 bucks to have it fixed. I don't really have $1000 to just hand to him. He's cool though and will let me make payments and have my car before it's paid off. I really don't want to get rid of my car because I've had it since I finished HS and it's the first care I have ever owned. My car is now 12 years old. This isn't the first time I've had issues with it either and it's not cheap to fix seeing as how it is a forgein car. It's a '96 Nissan Sentra.
So my question is should I
A. Trade in my car and buy a newer one.
OR
B. Pay to have my car fixed and wait another couple of years to buy a new one. |
