Since the 1970's no homes in the US have been built with coal furnaces, 35% of coal plant have been retired or converted to natural gas, no new coal plants are scheduled for construction. Power companies are going away from coal to save money. People around the world blame coal power plants and furnaces for poor air quality and climate change. Do you think the coal industry can survive?
A: Yes, on much smaller scale.
B: No, it is too costly and dangerous to continue for much longer. |
