I just found out that a girl from my college died yesterday in a car accident. She is the sister of a friend who left the college last year. They are holding a visitation and memorial service for her on Wednesday, and I didn't know her extremely well ... talked in passing or when she was with her brother, and now I am at a loss of what to do. I want to go to the visitation and memorial because of my friend to support him and let him know that I care for him and I'll be there for him, but I am unsure if it is proper or polite (however you want to put it) for me to go if I didn't know her extremely well.
Should I go and support him and his family?
-or-
Not go and find some other way to let him know that I am there for him. |
