Sometimes I write poems or lyrics to express myself or to vent. Only recently (past couple months), I've begun sharing my lyrics online in my MySpace and Fubar blogs. Sometimes the subject matter is sad or depressing. I feel like I have to keep explaining that not everything I write is about ME--sometimes I'm inspired by something a friend or family member is going through or something I saw on the news...yet I always get blog comments like "Hang in there, sweetie", "Sorry you're going through this", or "Whoever did this to you is a fool" LOL One guy even said that I'm a very angry woman! I'm soooo not! It bothers me sometimes when my lyrics are misunderstood and almost makes me not want to share them anymore. I mean, I want people to take their own meaning from it, but it bothers me that people tend to think it's all about me and I'm a depressed/suicidal person, b/c I'm not! :P
Sooo...
should I:
A) Keep sharing my lyrics
or
B) Keep them to myself |
