ok i sort of get it, but i still cant wrap my mind around it completely. my confusion went into a deadly spiral when i heard that witnesses were required and that there was a ceremony. so then, there is some form of commitment between the two to whatever terms they agreed to, iassume. its a way to make it something more, i get that.
ok, now iz what i dont think i get either, an auction. ok, a hot babe goes on auction. she is snagged up by the winning bidder. she changes her name to include the owners. what else?
say, i won a bid and now own someone. now what? she has to act like she likes me cuz i paid for it, for a predetermined amount of time? I get to say, hey, look here, look whos "on my arm". but what are some examples of how these relationships work.
now my question, should boudaries or obligations become a standard. if someone owns you, what is the standard of servitutde involed, is there one?
i put myself on auction once. i felt that she paid for something and shouldnt even have to ask, the servant should know. poems, portraits, are a few of the ways i pleased my queen.
i pretty much got fubar now, but this part is hazy. who is for auctions and have been satisfied with their winnings, and who is against it. |
