I have a few thousand dollars in a savings account, but the interest rate is next to nothing.
I have been considering 2 options for a high-yield account:
A] Pay Pal Money Market Account [uninsured - but in 3 years I have had no problems {OK first time for everything} that as of last week paid 5.21%]
If I need the money it takes 2-3 working days for it to be in my savings account.
B] Certificate Deposit through my Credit Union [5 months at 5.4% and 12 months at 5.3%]
Severe penalties if I need the money early.
