Just got home from the district varsity wrestling championships, where only the top 3 move on to regionals next weekend. My son, who is a sophomore, lost a close match last night to a senior. (6-5) This meant that my son had to wrestle his way back up to the consolation finals and win it in order to place top 3.
He pinned his next kid in :56, won the next match 11-1, and then ended up in the consolation finals against the SAME KID that beat him last night. They were tied 2-2 in the 3rd period--my son was down and needed the escape--3 seconds left and he got the reversal instead! Won 4-2! The other kid was crying b/c it's his senior year and he had hoped to go to regionals. My son felt bad for the kid but we can't help but celebrate my son's comeback win. My baby's goin' to REGIONALS! Wooo!
What I can't decide is:
Is it HELLA AWESOME or AWESOME AS HELL?
