What is it you Desire

Is it the sweet, sentimentality of love you desire?

With a slow Victorian courtship,

 with measured steps,

and wistful dreams? 

A truly civilized approach to love,

ripped from the pages of a romance novel?

Or is it something more?

Is it desire?

Is it seeing the one you want and feeling the flush start?

Is it feeling your breathing quicken and your pulse speed up

when that special someone is close?

Is it looking into their eyes,

and seeing that the desire is mutual?

Is it lust?

Is it the desire to throw aside civility,

cast aside the veneer

and allow yourselves to become animalistic,

struggling with each other,

find out who will be dominate,

and who will submit?

Is it tearing off each other’s clothes,

biting and scratching,

banging each other into the walls,

giving in to the urges of the moment

until both are spent?

And then, in exhaustion,

holding onto each other while your recover.

What is it you desire?

Be honest.
