The question is: Should I sue or Let it be?
I had an operation to remove blood clots and cysts a week before Christmas. The forms I filled out included my options of anesthsia. I opted for the twilight sleep and a local. During this procedure I began screaming in immense amounts of pain, and I also recall the assistant trying to calm me down so that other patients did not hear me. For the rest of the day and the next the pain did not go away. I was back in (two days later) and found out that he had not completed the procedure and left much behind, and I HAD TO DO IT ALL AGAIN!! I asked if the doctor had used a local as it was my understanding that he was supposed to. I was told that "he usually doesn't use a local with the twilight sleep." If I had known this I would have made sure that he did or chose a different doctor.
The second doctor was much more caring and took care of my pain needs and everything else without charging me for the second procedure.
I had to do this at a family planning clinic due to finances. Should I sue the doc that fucked up since I had been misinformed as to the anesthesia policy? or should I let it go cause we need to have these clinics?
