So once we made it to the residence we went in and got a parking pass for my car, cuz we didn't know how long I was going to have to hang around till the storm let up.
We went up to Scottys room and tried to order pizza but the guy on the phone said they werent delivering. Which was a lie since we seen a delivery guy downstairs when we came in...lol So we headed downstairs to find some food, there is a subway but it looked closed. So we ended up spending like over $20 on junk food, well not all junk, we got a frozen pizza and a small mac and cheese for me. We headed up to the room and we broke the pizza in half and cooked it in the toaster oven... Yum yum!
As time passed we hung out and ate our junk food, and tried to get Megan a cab home. We kept getting the wrong cab company and haveing to try again and again. Eventually we were calling it and I got through on my phone, and she had a cab on the way. It came fairly quick too. It was getting late so Scott and I headed up to his room to hang out.
I tried to calibrate his printer w/ no luck. I think we were too tired to think straight. Finally around like 1 am I was tired and couldnt sleep so i figured I would brave it and go home.
Scotty walked me out to the car and helped me clean it off. Then we noticed another car blocking the way out. I was blound and bent I was going home and there was a bit of room to get through, so I figured I would just gun it and pass them. As it turns out the parking lot had like a foot of snow so I wasnt able to gun it per say. I tried and failed miserably!
So I got stuck right beside this car, adn started to reverse adn then just hit the gas and hope to go farther forward than last time. I finally made it out after basically rocking my car out.
Then it was a whole other story once out of the parking lot. The whole road out was a foot deep. I got going at a good clip though, adn decided to not stop at any stop signs, since it was deserted and all. Once I got to the stop near the campus I decideed to go straigh cuz ther was no hill, as it turns out it hadnt benn plowed yet, but i was going at a good pace anf made it fine. Until I got to the end, adn the driveway had been plowed in. It was as high as my hhood, no getting out. So I prayed there was no curb and pulled a u turn and went back to the hill.
Finally got off the campus and went to get gas. Then to the highway I went. It was slow going but we were going about a 50 to 60 sped limit for the most part. Then somewhere around the airport I got stuck behind a row of snow plows, going 20.
I started to get really tired around missisauga. Then by Milton I was so tired I felt like i might pass out. So I got over and tried to get off the highway, but again I encountered a snow bank as high as my hood again. Damn plows. So I got back on the highway and was a little more awake so I thought I was ok.
Not so much, eventually I got boxed in between 4 transport trucks and I think I fell asleep for a brief second and then I got scared. I didnt see any cut offs in site and didnt wanna pull over on the 401. I knew once the traffic picked up I would be a sitting duck if i did.
I finally ended up calling Jay who works nights on his cell at work. He was the only person I knew would be awake. First try he didnt pick up and I wanted to cry. I know I am a wimp. Then thank God he called me back like 1 min later.
He managed to stay on the phone with me for like 30 mins till his phone ran out of time, but I would have been toast if I hadnt had him to talk to. I finally came to a rest stop and pulled over and bought a huge coke adn chugged it.
I finally got home at like4 am or so, adn crashed as soon as I got through the door, after moving Charlotte into the middle of our bed so I didnt crush her...lol
