Ok i just remembered about this.
What do you all think about having a minutes silence before sporting events to commemorate people that have died.
I've had 2 already this season in matches I've played in. On Saturday it was for an ex-player, who still worked on the committee at the club and was still attending matches up until a few months before he died. I suppose having know him it gives you a bit of a lift, like lets win for him etc. But there are other times, when its someone nobody knew, you stand about for a minute, your mind wonders off and your switched off for the start of the game. It happened to me when we had one for some firemen that had died.
And at times i do like the minutes applause at big matches, as inevitable when there's a big crowd you get some idiot shouting abuse in the middle of it.
So what does everyone prefer?
