I sit here in the dark, watching the monitor flicker in the shadows of my mind..
I see your face flash across my eye lids when I blink..
Your scent is playing hide and seek with my senses..
You are all around me..
You haven't been here for years.
I have not seen your beautiful eyes..
I have not tasted your sweet lips..
I have not touched your perfect skin..
Yet here you are..
Constantly in my head..
You have become part of me..
The part that I do not know how to escape..
I can feel your breath on the back of my neck.
I can hear your voice lingering in the distance.. A faint whisper reminding me that you will never be near..
You haven't been here for years..

Yet you are here..
Your presence is squeezing my heart..
The pressure is building up.
