Right now in Oregon courts, they are arguing whether or not to change several school mascot names due to them being offensive to certain ethnic groups. Names such as Braves, Warriors, Indians, etc. These schools have had these mascot names for years and now in a world where people are becoming so worried about political correctness, they are going to court to try and get them to change them.
My question is:
Do we spend tax money on legal proceedings and the cost of changing school logo's so that people aren't offended?
or
Do we spend tax money on bettering the schools and educate our children on these subjects? |
