New band.. Yes, it is a new band, mainly blues, or music that we turned into blues.. Nonetheless, we are out there again doing it, new members, some new originals, and a new sound, complete with horn section..
Let me first introduce Tony Janflone Jr, the 6 string hero..
Tony recorded and toured with jazz sax star Kenny Blake in 1991 and 1992. Blake 1991 Heads Up release “Interior Design" reached #15 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Chart. The follow up 1991 “Rumor Has It" release charted at #20 on Billboard. Blake's recording of Satin Doll that includes Jan Flone Jr on guitar, is featured on the 2008 compilation CD “Beautiful Wedding: Jazz for the Wedding Dinner" along with cuts from Dave Brubeck, Ray Charles, John Pizzarelli, and Nancy Wilson. Tony appeared on national TV with Blake on the Black Entertainment Network's Jazz show. They also performed together at New York's Bottom Line, Washington DC's Blues Alley, and other jazz venues around the country.
In 2002 Tony became a Versailles Records artist performing and engineering tracks on three critically acclaimed tribute albums. Tony along with Jimmy Crespo (of Aerosmith), Brad Gillis (Nightranger, Ozzy Osbourne) and other internationally known guitarists is featured on the 2002 Versailles Records release “The Lords Of Karma"that honors Steve Vai and Joe Satriani. Tony appears on the Steve Vai tribute track “Tender Surrender" that Guitar One Magazine named its favorite cut. In 2004 Tony performed lead and rhythm guitars on a rendition of "Rock Me Baby" collaborating with R&B vocalist Michel'le. It is featured on the CD “What's Love? a Tribute to Tina Turner" that also includes cuts from Tiffany, Deniece Williams, Jeff Healey, Jane Child, Alannah Myles, Darlene Love, and others. Tony performed the song “Wanted Dead or Alive" on the 2005 released “Always: A Millenium Tribute to Bon Jovi".
Tony Janflone Jr.’s four solo CD releases are "Profile" (1991), "Pieces" (1994), "In Time" (1998) that include performances by Phil Madeira and John Sferra of the Phil Keaggy Band, and "Live At The Blues Café " (2000 & 2018 remix). His composition, "Hey, Wake Up!" from the Pieces CD was the opening theme song for the ABC television network’s 1995 Molson 500 race broadcast.

I have played in tons of bands and have some tracks from those days, also current tracks and more to come.. I have been a professional musician since age 11 and began playing piano at age 5.. So yeah, it's been a long road.. I have played many gigs across the country and overseas during my career, but am happy being in one place for a change.. But you never know when that phone will ring and I will be packing for the road again..
Thank you all for your love and kindness over the years.. I have actually been on here for over 9 years now, just multiple accounts.. Take care and God bless..

Interests
A lot has changed.. Am in Florida, but travel to NY a few times a year, long trip, 2 days travel time.. New band, new members, new sound.. We write new material, but we also revamp some classics as well.. Plus am going to start jamming at the Orange Blossom Opry on Thursday nights, and hopefully get to jam with some of the greats in Country Music.. Gatlin Brothers, Belamys, John Anderson, Lee Greenwood, just to name a few.. It would be cool to jam with some of my idols.. Will keep you posted, and have new songs to add from Tony Janflone Jr.. Just as soon as I get the remasters I will post more, remember these are live takes recorded on a hard disc recorder at a table.. But the engineer we have has made these sound like they rolled out of the studio..
Thank you for listening, and being my friend here on Fubar.. Love you all..
