Recently my son who has ADHD and anxieties was put on a new medication for anxiety called Celexa (less than 2 weeks ago, 5 mg for 14 days, then 10 mg a day, he was formally on Paxil but had that taken away in Jan because he was having suicidal feelings) in conjunction with his present medication Concerta. His focus in school has been terrible since January (right after he was taken off Paxil). We have been receiving numerous phone calls from his teacher, supposedly concerned because he can't focus, and we have been keeping her advised of his medication situation (just starting the new meds).
So make up my mind. Is this teacher picking on my son because of his problems and not letting the medicine work, or is she just stupid and has no idea how medicine take a while to work. |
