| I am a member of the local Search and Rescue Unit. Recently we were called out to help with the damage done to our town by a wind storm with tornado speeds. While on this call, I was sexually assulted by a fellow member of the unit. An investigation is taking place right now of the incident and the Chief of Police is heading that investigation. There have been 5 more women to come forward about this individual making similar claims of their own. If this guy is proven guilty of Sexual Harrassment and Assult he will be thrown out of the SAR, and may even get Prison time. Now my parents would like me to sue him in a Civil suit for the harassment and Mental Anguish. I didnt bring these charges up to go for his money, I just wanted him to stay away from me and keep him from touching anyone else. So my question is.... If he is found guilty of the charges should I sue him in the Civil Suit (basically to pay for therapy), or should I just drop it and move on?? |
