My 2nd Son Brandon, whom God chose to take from us on January 7, 2007 will always be a Hero to us. He was not at all perfect but his heart absolutely was. I never met anyone in my life who was more deeply compassionate and loving than Brandon was and he was that way despite the fact that he was a popular jock for the majority of his nearly 21 years here with us. Everyone who ever met him, loved him. Everyone felt like they were the one person closest to him because he never made anyone feel that they were anything less. He was born with muscles and was proud of his 6-pack by the time he reached the 2nd grade and yet he died from Hypothermia (he froze to death) only 100 yards from his Dad's door. We will never understand why God chose to take him from us and my heart has been eternally broken. However, we can all only hope to be as loved in this life as he was and to show as much love towards others as he did. There were so many people we were unable to get ahold of prior to Brandon's services and yet there were over 2,000 people in attendance and the Church was filled beyond capacity. Because of the depth of his heart and soul, he has been able to continue to good towards others, even from the grave. I believe we could all learn so much from him, I only wish I could have my baby back for a single day or that I could take his place. He had a tattoo of a Cross on his arm with a banner through it that read, "FOREVER LOVED"... as he always will be!
