Well I was born in England in 1956 so I am now the "BIG 50", I am single and I am wheelchair bound as they say, I have Spinal Muscular Atrophy, which is a muscle wasting illness, apparently I was born with it but it didn't poke it's evil head up till I was 18-19, I was diagnosed in 1975, I was lucky though, I led an active life up till then, lived 2 lives in a way so I can't complain, although I do.
I was also lucky enough to have a job for 20 years, I had to finish due to the increasing weakness in 1991, 4 years later I was able to fulfill one of my dreams, to do a skydive, it was done in tandem but I did it, 10,000 foot skydive, not bad eh!, my other dream, to swim with dolphins in Florida, not done it yet, but I will.

My hobbies are, listening to rock music, Black Sabbath being my favourite group, I have seen them 4 times and Ozzy once as a solo singer, with Randy Rhoads, amazing guitarist, Led Zep, Pink Floyd, Status Quo, Deep Purple, Iron Maiden, Motorhead, ZZ Top, Genesis, Yes, Cream, Rory Gallagher, Lords of Acid to name just a few, last year I was lucky enough to see Cream and this year Roger Waters, I have met Robert Plant, briefly when he signed my programme and shared a few beers with the group Big Country.
I write, poetry and the occasional novel, done 3 now and one day I will get round to editing them and try to get them published, another dream?, perhaps.

I spend way to much time on the computer, but, it gets me round the globe meeting some truly wonderful friends, some I think the world of, some I long to meet, some who keep me out of trouble and some who want to kick 7 shades out of someone who not only attacked me but some of the nicest people you could wish to meet, his attitude stinks, but that is a different story, I am hoping that he got left behind, a few friends from that site are here, I was invited to join them and pleased I did, I will one day find out how to get from A to B and spend more time here.

My oldest school friend spent 21 years in the Royal Marines so I sort of enjoy military history, being a member of the Royal Marines Museum in Portsmouth UK, the RM's, SAS and Parachute Regiment being of great interest and taking pride of place in 2 of my novels.

I enjoy watching films, horror of course, they don't make them like they used to do though, Karloff, Lugosi, Lon Chaney, Lee, Price and Cushing having made some of the all time classics, there is nothing scary about today's horror, just blood and guts, violence and OTT language, not that I am against any of it, just doesn't have that scary side any longer.
My favourite films are Saving Private Ryan, The Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile, just to name a few, I love Monsters Inc, wow, what a wonderful movie, I have a friend who is my Boo and I am her Sully, sweet as anything, may be one day, I will grow up?, nah.

I used to have 2 dogs, a German Shepherd and a Rottweiler, not at the same time though.

I collect t-shirts, most coming from concerts I have been to, military plus a couple I got after 9/11, a percentage of the cost going to the children who lost parents, members of the NYFD, they take pride and place and are only worn once a year.

I have one brother/sister in law/ 2 nephews and a niece/a great nephew and a great niece, soon to be another, (sadly my niece lost the baby she was having this morning, get well soon Sam).
I am a god father to 2 wonderful children of friends on the net, my Mother having died a few years ago, I now live with my Father who looks after me, not much to do really as I spend so much time on line, it keeps me busy and keeps me happy.

Oh I am an official Ancient Goober too, wonderful title, thanks Baby Goober Ash.

Well that's about it for now, I shall leave a gap for future interests so keep dropping in, Thanks.........................
I am not here to make up your numbers so don't expect me to make up yours, if it's friendship you want, fair enough but, don't lie to me about voting for this or that when you know damned well, you will ignore me the second you leave here, it doesn't take much to become a friend, honesty being just one thing, if you feel the need to lie, become a politician, don't pretend to be a friend...................

Anyone who has fought for their country, no matter what the reason.

My Father who fought through World War 2 and now watches todays politicians throw away what he fought for.

Not sure about sportsmen being idols, so many get paid ridiculous amounts of money.

A Song for the Sensitive, the Idiot Song.

From the Album, Monty Python Live at Drury Lane,

How sweet to be an Idiot,
As harmless as a cloud,
Too small to hide the sun
Almost poking fun,
At the warm but insecure untidy crowd.
How sweet to be an idiot,
And dip my brain in joy,
Children laughing at my back,
With no fear of attack,
As much retaliation as a toy.
How sweet to be an idiot, how sweet.
I tiptoed down the street,
Smiled at everyone I meet,
But suddenly a scream,
Smashes through my dream,
Fie fye foe fum,
I smell the blood of an asylum,
(Blood of an asylum,
But mother I play so beautifully,
listen. ha ha)
Fie fye foe fum,
I smell the blood of the asylum,
Hey you, you're such a pedant,
You got as much brain as a dead ant,
As much imagination as a caravan sign.
But I still love you, still love you,
Oooh how sweet to be an idiot,
How sweet. How sweet. How sweet.
