My name is Brian Pajak. I am a 24 year old graphic designer Cleveland Ohio. I received my Associate of Graphic Design degree from Lakeland Community College in December of 2005, and im currently enrolled at The Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online. In the spring of 2006 I took a recurring freelance job with a start-up recording studio named Flex Records and Boss Entertainment. I created logos, flyers, business cards, and album covers for our clients. I worked there for just under a year before, regrettably, the company went out of business. I am currently seeking employment in the area and as such I am attending school online to give me the freedom to learn and work in graphic design without having to worry about scheduling classes.After I graduated from Lakeland I made the decision not to go for my bachelors degree. I felt that I could self teach myself the software and learn the rest by working in the field. However I've been on a lot of job interviews that I have impressed those hiring, but with just an associates degree I am limiting myself. I like to think of it as if I were in their shoes. If all things are equal between two candidates, and one had two years of college while the other had four, who would I hire? After loosing a job offer to another applicant with a BS degree at a local print shop in town I decided it was time to come back to school.
