Video Games
Currently switching between Guitar Hero Encore and Twilight Princess... although in the evening I tend to play OpenArena (find me on the Old Farts Server).
Generally, I like good platformers, RPGs with easy-to-understand battle systems, just about anything co-op, and FPS's that remember that the genre is supposed to be action-oriented.
I can probably tool you in the original Doom (or Doom2) without much effort. This is why you should suggest co-op mode.
Music
Currently listening to a lot of Abney Park, although I'm getting into Death Cab For Cutie. Also fond of video game remixes (ocremix.org FTW!).
In general, I like my music with an actual melody, regardless of genre. I'd rather listen to Boston than Metallica. If you feel differently, you either have a tin ear or have never heard anything by Boston.
