"My mind is a dangerous neighborhood. You wouldn’t want to live there."

I am a struggling, starving artist in the truest sense trying to eke out a living doing what I love. For the past 2 years now, photography has been my only job. I’m an artist in residence at the Collingwood Arts Center in Toledo, Ohio as well as a published poet. In a perfect world, I could do what I love for free and not have to worry about getting by from day to day. Ah, but the world is not perfect. So, here’s my rates:

- Portfolio work starts at $50. The price increases if you need makeup or a stylist. Anything longer than 2 hours increases my rate to $100. I’m obviously not trying to get rich off you.
- Event photography starts at $50 as well.
- If both the model and I benefit, meaning I’m getting something I can use for a book project or gallery exhibit, I ask for $10. This covers editing and postage, but it also feeds me as well. Straight up, this is my only income.

For the remainder of 2007, all my artistic work is session based and conceptual. Leave your inhibitions at the door. The opening for my 2007 exhibit, "Sessions" will be held on May 4, 2007 at the Collingwood Arts Center in Toledo. On June 1, I’ll be opening a group photography exhibit titled "Dark Visions" in Toledo. I have at least 3 publications pending for this month as well. Feel free to contact me.
