I was born in Vermont and spent many days on the farm, yet I'm still very comfortable in a city setting. I like all kinds of music (except opera, though its vocally amazing). I was always into sports, having played baseball, football, basketball, hockey, bowling, volleyball and even a little soccer. We go camping once or twice a year as time and money permits. We also like canoeing, fishing, & hiking (anyone in Illinois should check out Starved Rock if they like this sort of thing). I like mechanical things and have always had the knack for fixing things. I also am into electronic stuff and can fix some of that stuff too. Remember McGuyver? Well he doesn't have anything on me. My wife is amazed when I say I can't fix something and wont believe it until I try. I'm into racing, be it NASCAR or open wheel. I'm one of those car guys and love talking cars and racing. I was an Illinois State Scholar and in the 98th percentile (1983) but basically blew off college because I didn't like school, and of course I regret it now. I make my living as a CNC lathe programmer, set up guy, and operator. I've also owned my own roofing business, poured concrete, and was a garbage man in my youth. I married young and divorced young and have a 23 year old daughter and 2 year old granddaughter. Ive been married to my lovely second wife since '96, and we've been together since '92.
One of my main beliefs is that people should shoulder their responsibilities. Too many people (that I've had to work with, to start) try to pass the buck. Just look at our government today, it's a prime example.They also should FREELY own up to their mistakes. No one's perfect and hiding mistakes usually makes things worse later. I'm also anal as all get out and believe that the attention to the little details makes all the difference. So that's me in a nut shell.
