Hi there... I'm Ballistik (aka BIK). I'm a 31 year old writer living in North Texas with my 3 kickass kitties and my wonderful boyfriend. I work for Starbucks (greatest company ever) and I am a coffee finatic. I also write (am working on my 4th novel at the 'mo) and also on my 80th-something book of poetry (I write on every 2-3 months and have been writing since the age of 15, so they add up pretty quickly.) ;-) I also have a podcast that features some awesome 80's music (yes, I love that, too) and I also read chapters from my first novel, Sweet Pea, an autobiographical account of my turbulent young life. Now that my life's somewhat a little more stable, and I'm in an awesome relationship, I love meeting new people (local friends, and online pals) just to chat... If you live near me and love coffee, and hanging out, and have an open mind, gimme a shout! :-) I love all people, all races, all sexualities and all backgrounds. I think that there's something to learn from just about anyone on this crazy blue ball called Earth.

Music
I love 80's retro/new wave music. I have over 2000 LP's (vinyl) from that era. I also like techno/jungle/ambient, that kinda stuff, also have alot of that. Favorite bands/groups/musicians include: Howard Jones, OMD (Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark), Depeche Mode, The Cure, Howie Day, Morrissey, The Smiths, U2, ColdPlay, Counting Crows, Thomas Dolby, Blue October, Duncan Sheik, Rufus Wainwright, Blondie, Oingo Boingo, A-Ha, Missing Persons, Kraftwerk, Paul Oakenfold, Thompson Twins, and so so many more...

Movies: Rebel Without A Cause, Tron, Halloween, Magnolia, The Shining, Blair Witch Project 1 & 2, Twin Peaks, Mulholland Drive.
Idols
Idols: James Dean... the first American teenager, great actor, and so full of life. I also idolize God, as I think all people should, but I'm a little more lighthearted about it, I don't subscribe to organized religion (yuck) but I do believe that he is everywhere and that's who I look up to in real life.
Video Games
I love old skool Atari video games for the 7200, 4800 and original... I have over 100 games (thanks to thrift stores and ebay and my own stash from my younger years.) I also love stand up coin-operated arcade games from the early to mid 1980's. I collect TI-99/4A games and Atari games, as well as old skool Nintendo (NES SYSTEM) games from the early 80's onwards. I have a ton of those, too. I have a Nintendo DS Lite and ocassionally play games on that. I love the Legend of Zelda series, Donkey Kong, Mario Bros., and all the classics. I don't play PS2+ that much, I like more of the 'fun' games, if ya know what I mean. I could be showing my age here. Hehe.
