After growing up in the northern Virginia area near Washington DC where I graduated high school I made the decision to join the United States Navy for a 5 year enlistment. I was stationed on board a ship based out of San Diego and had an absolute blast traveling all around the world. As much fun as it was I wanted to attend college so I left after my first enlistment. I spent 8 years in a row at college after leaving the US Navy where I earned 3 college degrees. I graduated with my master’s degree in May 2014. It did take me a few months of job searching but I did finally find myself a really good job in the Kansas City area. I moved to the Kansas City area late August 2014. I work as an environmental scientist which I find very rewarding.

My interests, hobbies, and other fun facts about me in no particular order include snowboarding, skydiving, scuba diving, attending sports games, hiking, mountain biking, amusement parks, water parks, working out at the gym, running on a treadmill, lifting weights, sit ups, leg lifts, planks, listening to music (I listen to all types to include rock, country, and rap), going to concerts, salsa dancing, singing to songs in my car (I do tend to think I can sing pretty good), long drives across the country, swimming, going to the beach, eating out at restaurants, drinking alcohol at bars, getting crazy on the dance floor at clubs, watching movies, watching TV shows, running obstacle courses, and running half marathons and full marathons
