First I want to say ..Thanks for visiting My Page All about ME in a few words or less..... People say you don't look your age. That is because I don't act my age. I believe that is the secrete I am pretty much A down to earth Country,Hippie,Biker CHICK Young at hart I grew up in the 60's ,When times were much less hectic I am laid back Easy going ,But will stick up to what I believe I don't try to be any other way. I love life & love to have fun & sometimes a little crazy .I have been married 40 Yr of my life & decided that I am much better NOT!!! Till the right person comes along anyway. Average income (1 person) was.... $ 6,500.00 A new house cost approx............... $ 40,000.00 A gallon of gas cost.................. $ .30 A Fillmore concert poster........... $ 1.25 A new car cost cost approx...... $ 2000.00 A gallon of milk cost................. $ 1.10 A loaf of bread cost.................. $ .20
A concert ticket to the greatest concert of all time sold for $6.00 per day
*No money, not much anyway, was received that day "at the door".Two weeks before the festival, after months of work, they were informed by the town fathers they couldn't have the festival at the original site. So they had 2 weeks to do an impossible job, getting another site ready. The fences weren't even up. And the utterchaos was not expected. Three times the amount of people! So early on the first day, they got on the loud speakers and told the kids that were swarming in that it was a FREE concert. It took the promoter 10 yrs. to pay off debts incurred that weekend, but he did it!
Bring me back down the road of memory....where a flip of the hand brought a sign of peace and love. Gentleness ruled, and love abound. We were all filled with love for one another, and nature was the key. Woodstock, music, free and wild , births of children, peace and of unison in number that only a generation of love could provide. Jimi.....Janis.....they were there, and they brought, like so many others, their best. Storms....hunger....nothing stopped us. Great day....great memory....take me back again. Flowerchild
