Evening Mummers!
I just wanted to get some feedback about this situation that I have going on in my life.
I work with my best friend, we've worked together for the past 6 years as social workers for a large social service agency. I recently went out of work on sick leave to have knee surgery, and have been out of work for the past 3 weeks. I just found out through a third party that during the time that I was out, my agency announced a promotional opportunity, which her and I both qualify for. She was of course at work, got the info and submitted her resume and had her first interview for the promotion today. She didn't mention the interview to me, and has been avoiding me for the past week, I'm guessing because of this.
Now this has happened in the past, where she has been out of work and the agency would announce a promotional opportunity and I would call or email her and tell her to submit her resume and I'm totally surprised that she didn't do the same for me. I'm also happy for her that she had an interview, and would be happy for her if she got the job, but I almost feel like she was happy to not have me in the running.
So, to make this a mumm, do I say something to her about this and let her know how I feel or do I just expect to much from people and should I just let it go? |
