I just came back from a flight@ vetrans reunion, it was sad to see all that was lost and gained from the speeches and photos given...
My 7 years in is only a small dedication to SFC Earl Fillmore my uncle who I saw live dragged through the streets in Somalia the day after my birthday on OCT 2 on CNN. My aunt flew with me with her two sons to see the guys who were there and said their peace..... I have never cried more as a Man, Soldier, Officer, Nephew in my life.
I can only hope that my ex-fiance can forgive me for leaving for the 2 deployments after 9/11 for giving what we had for my love of our country. I bared the pain with my fellow soldiers to remeber all that was lost between Ocotober 3, 1993 and 9/11, seems that it was all lost as we forget so easily with our own lives having the rights to live as we may.
She may have moved on, but I ask have you?
