A New Day.....
As the sun's rays beam through, a new day unfolds,
with watery eyes, like a breath of fresh air.
We begin to hear, see and feel,
into a new world for all that we care.
The beautiful creatures,
that God has created.
Man, a likeness in his true image,
through all the years has passed, somewhat belated.
We meet face to face with challenges,
we imagine new dreams and aspirations.
Deep within ourselves, and to this world,
We aspire to become one NATION.
The day has gone by so quickly,
time flies by so swiftly.
In the blink of an eye we're into a new day, sunset,
and far behind, the days, the years we forget.

Prying in the Morning
As I lay on my bed,
Wrapped up with my duvet on my head.
I can feel the heat burning,
But there is no desire to move.
As the clock ticks away
Telling me to get my groove.
As I tried to turn,
And then cover my eyes,
As the sun's rays come beaming through
Has left me mesmerized.
Prying through the curtains
Looking solemnly at me
Just one more minute. . .please then I'll be.
Please Mr Sun, would you go away;
And take with you, those prying rays.
So that I can sleep just one minute more
Then I'll be up and gone,
Then you can come to bother me again tomorrow morn.
