Ok, so back in March I saved a dog from an abusive home. He became our first family dog, and his name is Tucker. I need help making up my mind on whether to keep him or not.
Positive: Totally adore this dog's personality. He makes me and my husband laugh, he plays well with the kids, he gets along with everyone and other animals. He cuddles, plays, and sleep runs. He plays tug-o-war, and chases lights and lasers. When my kids climb on him, he never growls or snaps.
Negative: He poops in the kid's room, he doesn't obey basic commands, He makes us chase him around the neighborhood, and he chews up the kid's toys.
Idk if I have the patience for him. We have tried everything to stop him from pooping in the kid's room, and he still keeps on doing it. Today, my 2 year old decided to play in the poop. He got it everywhere! It was drug out into the hall where I stepped on it and tracked through the house. I scrubbed the carpet in the kid's room, hall, livingroom, and washed the floor in the kitchen and bathroom.
I get so mad, I feel like I should just give up and get rid of Tucker. On the other hand, since we adopted him and took him into our family...we consider him a part of the family. I don't know if I should keep trying or find him a new home. Help me out here. |
