| I work as a youth specialist for behavioral kids in residential treatment. The number of kids we have has been down for some time and two weeks ago they started lay offs. I'm currently in school and will graduate in April. I have every intention of moving when I graduate and finding a new job, however, with graduation still 8 months away, I'm not entirely sure that my place of employment will still be open, or if I'll get laid off in the interim. So should I go with the flow, hoping I have a job to last me these next 8 months, or should I quit work, double up on classes and graduate 4 months early in December? (money would be tight, but I could make it for 5 or 6 months without an income) |
