You know the type. Only cares about what you can do for them. Wants advice all the time, expects you to be there everytime something bad happens. But when you have problems, they can barely pretend to listen.
Now, this has gone on for a while, and it's clear to you that they have pigeonholed you as their therapist and can only see you in that light.
Do you confront them about it, in the hope that they just don't realize how one-sided the situation is, or just stop talking to them? |
