I do not like to laugh, and above all, I do NOT like to have a good time.

I just need to counter the over-used "I love to laugh and I love to have a good time." How come so many people say that in their online profiles? Newsflash: EVERYBODY on the planet loves to have a good time. That's such an ambiguous statement. Everyone's definition of "a good time" is something different. It's like wasted space in a profile. Why not say "I love to laugh, have a good time, breath, eat, and sleep". It's like, no shit, so does everybody. Anyway enough of my rantings. I just had to get that off of my chest. My apologies to anyone that I offended with above said statement in their profile.

About me - On Fubar for about 1 year. I login infrequently. Sometimes daily. Sometimes several weeks in-between. Whenever life allows, but more commonly when boredom strikes. I have a brilliant, gorgeous, perfect two year old daughter that the heavens revolve around. I work in technology. I am a Seattle area native. I have a huge network of friends and family. I spent 13 years in the Marine Corps Reserves and I just recently got out. I was an Eagle Scout. I'm left handed. I'm right footed. I do not like to laugh or have a good time.

Cheers!! Tentative.gif

Interests
Entertainment - Spent a lot of time in the bar scene during my twenties. Playing pool. Taking in the local music scene. Going to comedy shows. I go 'clubbin' very little anymore, but enjoy it when I do (maybe I should start again). I don't seem to go to the movies often enough these days. Maybe 3-5 times per year. If it's a big budget special effects filck WITH a decent story, or, a movie generating academy 'best picture' buzz, I will find a way to make it to the theater.

Cuisine - I love BOLD flavors that just reach right out and smack you in the taste buds - - Thai, Indian, Sushi, dark chocolate, dark beer, red wine, 12 yo scotch, bold cigars.

Books - Not real big on fiction. I am typically working on 4-5 computer programming books, 1-2 poker books, and 1 true crime novel (usually Anne Rule) at any given time. This is REALLY nerdy, but I frequently spend HOURS reading through entries on Wikipedia on any given subject.

TV - Shows which I find slightly on the addictive side are The Office, 30 Rock, SNL, Lost, Modern Marvels, Ultimate The Fighter, and Poker After Dark.

Poker - I play a fair amount of Texas Hold'em in the local casinos. Lately, the payouts have been pretty rewarding, encouraging me to play more. Love the new Snoqualmie Casino.

I've been a (Ford) Mustang lover since I was a kid. At some point, I want to fully restore a 1965-66 convertible. For now, I am making due with my 1995 GT.

I enjoy camping/hiking a great deal. However, I have rarely gone as an adult. I guess that I got my fix of the great outdoors one weekend a month in the Marine Corps Reserve from 1993 to 2007. Now, I'm looking forward to taking my daughter camping over the coming years.

Like to work out and jog. Lately I've fallen out of the exercise routine and I'm trying to find my exercise mojo again.

I'm a LAME Seahawks fan. I usually don't make a point of watching the games until the end of the season, and only if nothing else is going on. I watch if they are in the playoffs.

Computers/Internet - My bachelors is in computer Science and I work in technolgy. I am a techno-nerd/enthusiast at my core. I frequently come home from staring at a monitor at work all day, just to sit in front of the computer or mess around with some other techno gadgetry.
Music
Everything! But especially TOOL, The Crystal Method, 90's alternative, 80's pop, and 70's disco (Love ELO, the Bee Gees, KC and the Sunshine Band, ABBA). Of course, I can't go without giving a shout out to Neil Diamond. In Seattle, it's gotta be the Dudley Manlove Quartet, and the Pleasure Elite.
Video Games
I am mainly an XBox 360 gamer. Halo, Gears of War, Grand Theft Auto, Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six, NASCAR, and NCAA Football. I go several months without playing at all, then I disappear into a cave for a few days on a heavy gaming binge. Usually just after a major release / new purchase.

I play a lot of slow, boring, 2-dimensional Spades on Yahoo games. I love the outwit-your-opponents social interaction aspect of it.
