Rock and Roll Fantasy Camp, it's touring across the US now. Let's say money is no problem for you, you like to enjoy the finer things in life. This camp costs $1,999 for one full day of jams and learning. It is then capped of with a performance of your 'band' before the headlining acts. The only extras available are a DVD of your day/performance ($50), and a VIP package that includes 10 extra concert tickets, and 12 t-shirts (up to XL only) for an additional $500. Now, for $9,999 (NOT including airfare to/from the beginning/ending city) you get to live on the tour for a week, traveling to each city on the bus, in the hotels, jam everyday, play every night. Would you spend this kind of money? We have 60 'campers' tonight in NYC, and only 15 for the show in Cleveland at the House Of Blues.
I can play rhythm guitar, and I have for almost 30 years...I just haven't mastered the full bar chords. The seasoned pro's acting as counselors are:

The headliners are King's X and Extreme ('More Than Words', seen in the movie, "The Love Guru") with their latest album in 12 years.
I will be playing with Chris Slade, Mark Slaughter, and Grammy winner, Mark Hudson, along with 2 other 'campers'
To make this a MUMM, my question is, "Should I expose my weakness and take the brunt of the fall and back out of this event that was given to me, gratis via a contest, or am I nuts for even thinking of not going?" |
