Okay, well this is my first mumm and I need some help with a question..my husband and I are arguing because I say our marriage is 50/50, that when we got married we each still have our own minds and personalities and that we should discuss final decisions. He said that a marriage is an ownership-that we own each other, I don't think of the two of us as "property" in which we can own each other.

So, are we saying the same thing but in different words? or Is a marriage really an ownership of each other?
