Idols
I have but one idol! My dad, was not just my father, but he was also my best friend. He was a patrolman, detective, and sargent Port Arthur Tx Police. Dad later, worked for a drug task force in East Texas, and was a commander for an autotheft task force in East Texas as well. While he would always be in danger, I knew he would return home safe and sound, he was superman...superdad. That all changed in 2000 when he was diagnosed with cancer. After a short battle, my superdad was gone in 2001. Although I miss him, and wish everyday he was here to ask questions about my own boys, I realize how much he taught me. I just hope that one day my boys will look up to me at least half as much as I looked up to him.
