I'm sure most of us have heard about the controversies in the last few years about some of the kids' shows featuring gay characters. Is it a good thing to use children's entertainment to teach them to tolerate homosexuals, just as they should tolerate other ethnicities or religions? Or should that be left solely to the parents' discretion, so as not to confuse the children, or present them with information the parents do not think they are ready for?
I know that in some schools there may be discussion of tolerance towards homo/bisexuals, but let's save that for another MuMM. |
