I just got shoutboxed by someone who said Pau Gasol and Kobe Bryant cant and dont play defense. Okay I admit Gasols defense is suspect at times. But Kobe never, he goes out and guards the other teams best player every game.
We saw it last night as he battled Carmelo in the post. Carmelo is a big boy. But Kobe held his ground while scoring 40 points.
We as fans see when a man scores a lot and tends to forget all the other thing he does. I think Kobe guarded Carmelo, as well as Billups and JR Smith at different points of that game.

What do you think? Kobe all about scoring or does he do more?
