The first thing you should know is I unfortunately don't drive................
Ok, that should weed out a lot of you........
I don't drive because in 2001 I was rear ended in my car. I suffered a traumatic brain
injury. I was in a coma for 6 months.I was put in a rehab hospital for brain injuries in
Galveston, TX.
OK, now I'm sure I lost a lot more of you.
The doctors told me that I would never walk, talk or live on my own again.
Well, with a ton of hard work, I have made a lot of positive progress!
When I got out of the rehab center I could talk sort of understandable. I could not walk
yet though.
I was able to live on my own, I just had my mother (thank god) take me to the grocery
store.
But, my life was pretty boring. I basically sat on the sofa, watched tv & ate crap food.
I balooned up to 245 lbs! Then, I watched a program on TV that changed my life. The
Biggest Loser. I started eating healthy and exercising. I can remember many of days that I
would wheel my wheelchair to the fitness center at the apartment complex to workout.
After a few years of working out and healthy eating I finally got my balance and strength
up enough to walk! I was about 200lbs. I still had to use a cane (especially on uneven
ground) I didn't stop there. I continued to workout no matter where I was living at the
time. I have always lived in an apartment close to my mother. Every time she got promoted
to a new position, I would have to move. We started in Austin, then moved to several
different cities across Texas. She finally got to a point that we wouldn't have to move
for a long time.
We rented a house in Mansfield! I never could have imagined that I would be 43 and living
with mom! It's really is nice though. She travels to several different cities every week
and only comes home on the weekends
I am really into gardening & yard work, as well as my daily( just weekdays) workouts. I
have a home gym, tv & sofa in the garage!
Most of my workouts & nutritional information I have learned was from online.
I took a small class to get certified in weight training, but most of the information
that I was taught doesn't apply now.
I have a great medical chart now! The only medicine I take is a daily multi-vitamin.
As far as work goes, I don't have to ever work again.
I do help people with weight training, weight loss, muscle toning and nutrition for free.
It's my way to pay it forward.

What am I looking for? Friends. If it leads to something more, then great!
