mum expired. [FRIENDS]

My dear friend the TV (Samsung 42" DLP 720p) has DIED after more than 10 years of service. I have the black screen of death and 3 blinking lights at power button mocking me. What do I do? Do I repair it? Its probably the bulb which is a simple fix at $100 and pray that fixes it and save $$$? Or spring for a new TV with all the new cool technological goodies and big price tag $$$?
