i'm planning my wedding, and everytime i speak to my mom my plans are not "good" enough for her. ie. I'm having my wedding at a church, she wants me to have it at a park. My wedding is formal, as most are, and she continues to tell me how she is only going to wear jogging pants and a t-shirt. My dad is refusing to wear a suit to walk me down the aisle, if he will even walk me down the asle. And to top it all off....I was told by my mom the other day if I didn't have it on a certian day of the week my dad, brothers, and cousin couldn't take off work to come. Notice I said my mom told me this, as in she is making this decision for others who are adults and can handle that on thier own. I preceded to tell her it was my wedding and if work was more important then don't come. She then told me that I was being hateful, and hung up on me. (She don't work, but has decided that no one, including her, can come due to work.)
How am I to handle the situtaion? I've came to a simple conclusion that she just doesn't want to come, for whatever selfish reasons she has, but do i just tell her off and be done, or try to convience her how important this day is to me, and how much I want her to part of that day? |
