Obama recently spoke about the claim that his plan is socialized medicine, Finally, opponents of health reform warn that this is all some big plot for socialized medicine or government-run health care with long lines and rationed care. Thats not true either. I dont believe that government can or should run health care. But I also dont think insurance companies should have free reign to do as they please.
Republicans have assailed any inclusion of a public insurance option in a new system of expanded health care.
"We see that as a slippery slope to having the government run everything," Sen. Mike Enzi, R-Wy., said.
