So...without the long boring backstory...my ankles,knees and back are prone to shooting pains. It's bone related,combination of arthritic factors and repetitve stress on 'em. In addition to OTC pain relievers I have my choice of 2 topical ones.

Menthol,an Icy-Hot type compound

or

Capsaicin,pretty much pepper spray in a cream form.

Not sure which would be more effective...opinions?
