| I work as a waitress and yesterday i worked my scheduled 7am to 11am. But I Had to stay till 1130am. This 17 yr. old girl called in sick once again and we were busy , but a girl that was scheduled already took the shift. the 17 yr. old was set for 11am to 8pm. And the other girl was already working 9am to 2pm. Being that I had plans already to go to lunch at my boyfriends house, I wasnt going to stay until 2pm at work. After I got home from work I was getting ready to leave and my boss called me. He told me that my plans must not have been that important otherwise I would not have been still at home. I told him that I Had just got home about 5 minutes prior to him calling and that I was just walking back out the door. Then he told me that his customers are more important. And that he was going to let this slide. When really Im not at fault. I did my job and left. No one asked me to stay and cover 11am to 2pm. Is it right for him to call me at home like that? I am not a manager. I dont feel that I should have been to blame. |
